DIY: Painting Frames

For a quick and easy DIY, pick up a few packs of simple black and white frames from IKEA and spray paint them your favorite colors.  I love metallic paint – my personal favorites are copper or rose gold.  Get creative and use contrasting colors (i.e. red and teal) or colors that are featured in the surrounding artwork.  Mix up the textures and sizes of the frames – mix ornamental with sleek and simple and stagger them when you hang them on your wall. When painting the frames, I recommend two coats of spray paint.  Try to spray it evenly because any dripping will dry as is.  Hang on to the paint can because over time, the paint can ware.
