Getting Started with Trov
Everything in your life influences design. Treasures can be found in the least expected places. In their Berlin loft, my aunt and uncle used high school lockers to store cashmere sweaters and vintage suitcases for loafers and pumps. The Eames rocking chair that my grandmother recognized as timeless furniture and my mother later used to rock me to sleep, was cleverly repossessed to sit in my room in San Francisco. Old trophies, children’s books, or musical instruments – all these things can re-imerge as decoration for your space. Don’t be afraid of old boxes, garage sales, or items discarded on trash day (New York City is the best for this one!) and, don’t be afraid to do it yourself.
