Jennifer’s Convertibles
I got my couch at a furniture store familiar to most New Yorkers: Jennifer’s Convertibles. They retail contemporary leather furniture and sofa beds. The kicker is that all of the furniture can be disassembled into small pieces, making it your only option when you have to carry it up the narrow stairwell of a New York apartment building. My couch was only $800. It has served its purpose, but it squeaks and if you like a nice big comfortable couch, you should look elsewhere. Beware, the customer service isn’t good; the wait-time is often long; and the store has made frequent appearances on ripoff report. With that being said, they have a good selection of reasonably priced furniture that you can transport through tight spaces.
Tip: Expect bad customer service and a long wait to get your furniture.
